Southern Synod Ministers Spring School 2026!

The Southern Synod Spring School 2026 took place at High Leigh Conference Centre on 11th-14th May. This was a wonderful and enriching gathering of more than 30 ministers and church leaders which provided a meaningful opportunity for learning, reflection, fellowship, and mutual encouragement.
This year’s theme focused on “Binding Anxieties.”We were deeply inspired by the teaching and guidance of Revd Fiona Bennett. Through our journey with Abraham (Genesis 11–25), together with insights from Systems Theory, we explored ways to discover nourishment and hope for ourselves and our ministries while living and serving in an anxious world.
The Spring School was also a joyful time of fellowship and friendship. We shared laughter, conversations, challenges, burdens, and joys with one another, strengthening our bonds in ministry and faith.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Southern Synod and the Spring School Planning Group for all the excellent arrangements, support, hospitality, and encouragement.
Special thanks to:
• Our chaplain, Revd Helen Warmington, for faithfully leading morning worship, closing prayers, and Holy Communion.
•Revd Dr Charisa Hunter-Crump (TDO) for leading session and giving opportunity to singing beautiful hymns
• Revd Lesley Charlton for leading the inspiring “Early Bird Activity,” which brought energy and blessing to our mornings.
• Mr Tom Hackett (CYDO) for leading a valuable and engaging session.
• Revd Rodolphe Blanchard-Kowal for enriching our gathering through music ministry.
• Revd Ruth Armstrong and church leader Rita Brown, for arranging wonderful Creative Activities for all.
May God continue to bless and guide us, and help us to be His faithful witnesses in the world.
