Locally Recognised Worship Leader Training (3 in person and 9 online)
WHAT: a year-long course to train to become a Locally Recognised Worship Leader, allowing you to lead worship in your local congregation. An assessment of your participation and work and a concluding assessed service are required, at which time you will be presented with a certificate.
REQUIREMENTS:
- completion of the online application form by December 31st.
- a letter of support from the Eldership of your church.
- a DBS check through your local church during your year of study.
- completion of foundational Safeguarding Training during your year of study.
- attendance at all classes except in valid circumstances with catch-up work required.
(note: students who have not undertaken the Stepwise Programme or similar will also be required to engage with this course and the peer support group during their year of study).
WHEN: it begins in January, with monthly meetings on the 2nd Saturday of every month (except in March which will be the 3rd Saturday due to Synod Together).
Three sessions will take place in person from 10:00-15:30;
- 9th May
- 12th September
- 12th December
Nine sessions will take place online from 9:30-12:30.
