Revd David Littlejohns

From the Synod Clerk

Dear friends

I pass on the news we received from The Revd Steve Faber, Moderator of West Midlands Synod of the United Reformed Church, that The Revd David Littlejohns was taken ill in the night of Friday 1st September 2017 with what appeared to be a stroke.  He was taken by ambulance into Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham for treatment, and sadly died there on Saturday 2 September 2017 .

David was ordained in 1993, and served in Eastern and Southern Synods before going to the “Cadbury Pastorate” where he was inducted at the end of January this year in south Birmingham serving at Weoley Hill, Weoley Castle and Bournville.

Please hold his wife Hilary and their (adult) children Andy, Ben and Becky in your prayers.

In the words of John Ellerton (1870):

Now the labourer’s task is o’er;
Now the battle day is past;
Now upon the farther shore
Lands the voyager at last.
Father, in Thy gracious keeping
Leave we now Thy servant sleeping.

May David rest in peace and rise up in glory.

Yours in Christ

Revd Derrick Dzandu-Hedidor
