A message from the Synod Clerk
Dear Friends
We received, in the Synod Office, the news of the death of the Revd Andrew Lorimer, a retired minister of the United Reformed Church, who was a member at the Bay URC Birchington, where his friendly and fatherly presence was well appreciated.
The news of Andrew’s death also included the following: In both the morning service and ensuing Annual Church Meeting this past Sunday 17/04/2016 Andrew was looking very healthy, so it was a bit of a shock. We are told he passed peacefully in his sleep the same night, presumably in the early hours of Monday 18 April 2016.
Once we have more details about his family’s plans for the funeral we will pass them on.
Andrew’s work across the denomination included his time at Walton-on-the Hill 1975-80 and Christ Church Westgate-on-Sea 1980-97.
May Andrew’s gentle soul rest peacefully in the warm embrace of the Lord.
