for the Thames North and Southern Synods
Full time 37.5 hours
Salary: £34 000 per annum

Responsible to: The Thames North and Southern Synod Moderators
Area: London and surrounding areas, mainly within the M25
The United Reformed Church is seeking to appoint a Safeguarding Officer to lead the promotion of, the development of and the implementation of safeguarding knowledge, policy and practice within the Thames North and Southern Synods and associated organisations. You will provide timely and effective advice and support in respect of concerns arising about the protection of adults, young people and children at risk.
You will lead, promote and record all safeguarding and safeguarding training activity within the Synods.
You will require appropriate social care, education and/or legal-based qualifications. Please note that this post is home-based.
