Southern Synod Big Day Out – 20th June 2026 at Shires Oast
The day finally arrived with about 180 people in attendance; this was the first time such a day had been had in over 30 years, and in my opinion, it really was a day of fun, fellowship and food. The day started and finished with worship focusing and celebrating our unity as many different churches in a large synod, but united nevertheless in Christ.
Fun and fellowship was had during the day over various crafts – enjoyed by all ages and abilities, as well as led movement and time to just reconnect with familiar faces or make new friends from around the synod. It was wonderful to see so many families and children enjoying themselves running around while we also tried to shelter in the shade on what started as an overcast day but turned into a rather hot one.
Thank you to the Synod for sponsoring such a wonderful day and to all who volunteered and help organise, without whom the day would not have happened.
