Training for Elders

This training is not mandatory, it is designed to be a supplementary training to assist with your current understanding. The training introduces Elders to the role they play in Safeguarding and is not mandatory. It is additional learning to enhance awareness for Elders. This is vital training to give Elders information about their legal responsibilities in Safeguarding in relation to their role as a Trustee. The training will take place on Zoom and last approximately 2 hours.

Training dates:

14th March 2023 from 7pm – 9pm

20th October 1pm – 3pm

ADDITIONAL DATE  MONDAY 27 NOVEMBER 6.30-8.30 pm

Domestic Abuse Training

This training is not mandatory, it is designed to raise your awareness and understanding of the topic and how you can support someone who you may come into contact with.  The training is being led by The Domestic Abuse Victim Support Service (DAVSS).

Training dates:

19th January 2023 10am- 12pm

21st March 2023 7pm – 9pm

URC Awareness of Domestic Abuse in the Church

This training is not mandatory, it is designed to be a supplementary training to assist with your current understanding. The session will focus on the complexities of domestic abuse within the church context and seek to unpick some of the misconceptions and attitudes surrounding it. This training is not mandated but forms part of supplementary learning.

Training dates:

7th Feb 2023 from 6.30pm-8.30pm

22nd March 2023 from 1.30pm-3.30pm
