Hustings with London Mayoral Candidates, Tuesday 19 April, Kensington Temple

The Evangelical Alliance is hosting a hustings in the run up to the London mayoral election.  The hustings will be taking place on Tuesday 19 April, 6-8pm at Kensington Temple.

Sian Berry, Zac Goldsmith, Sadiq Khan, Caroline Pidgeon and Peter Whittle have confirmed that they will be taking part and the team is looking forward to giving them a grilling as well as showing them what a difference Christians are making across the capital.  The debate will be chaired by BBC journalist turned priest Christopher Landau.

More information can be found at http://www.eauk.org/current-affairs/politics/2016-london-mayoral-church-hustings.cfm along with posters to download and use. This is a free event but to have an idea of numbers there’s a booking system in place. It’ll be great to see Christians across London engaging with the political process, and this is a key opportunity to hear what the candidates have to say and quiz them on the issues that matter most. The Bishop of Kensington and Pastor Agu will also be taking part.

  • Sian Berry, Green Party
  • Zac Goldsmith, Conservative Party
  • Sadiq Khan, Labour Party

Thanks to Claire Crowley, Ecumenical Officer for Churches Together in South London who alerted us to the event.
